Sci-fi fans are out of this world

New York Daily News
Feb 26 2006
[this article is not available online]

TORRI HIGGINSON has been an actress for more than 15 years, but never
encountered such extreme fans as she has gained playing Dr. Elizabeth Weir on
Stargate Atlantis. "The sci-fi fans are a breed unto themselves," she says. "At our first convention, our show had only been on-air for one episode and t here were thousands of people who showed up. They were bringing us things that they had made and our faces were on lunchboxes... I've even been given paintings of me and of my dog - how they got these pictures of her, I don't know. It's really intense." Higginson hasn't always been a fan of these large gatherings. "I was hesitant about doing conventions. I found it very strange at first, but after doing a few, I now find it's beautiful. It's a real exchange. It's nice to heartheir opinions of the show and of our character. It's also a chance to say thank you to these people. Without them, we wouldn't have a show."

Any pairing, any character, any rating is accepted. So, anyone up for some ficcing?crossposted everywhere, so sorry if you get this a million times. If this isn't allowed, mods, feel free to delete.

Yes I'm actually mocking Stargate Atlantis - the world is coming to an end!!!
So they're on a planet and waiting to meet the leader of the village people And then they find out about this "Tower" And it looks like the central tower on Atlantis And stuff happens and John ends up getting taken to the Tower, and of course it's just him they want because of the gene And then the characters we care about just fade into the background while a bunch of original characters get to play. And of course there's this sneaky dude who's pretending to be the good advisor to the king and is all "aww my king is going to die and the royal bloodline is going to fade *sniffle*"And then the king dies and oh look! It was the advisor dude that really did it! He's knows all about poisons and everything! And then Rodney gets to save the day. Go Rodney! And then there's a fight and the advisor dude gets poisoned by his own blade THE END! (oh and there was the part where John could have had the girl but he turned her down and the could have been king but he turned that down too!)*snicker* who the hell wrote this episode and what were they on at the time???

Grace Under Pressure spoilers I can't explain enough

Grace Under Pressure spoilers
I can't explain enough how much I loved this ep. I had seen the SG-1 ep "Grace", which was the same idea except that Sam was trapped alone on the Prometheous with a head injury and was seeing different people, but this was actually much better. Rodney and AF pilot Griffen crash in the ocean during a test flight of a newly repaired puddlejumper. And the PJ sinks like a stone. EEEP! Rodney with a serious head injury wakes first and its been nearly an hour since they crashed, and they are still sinking. Zelenka is relieved to hear them respond and Rodney says they could both use an extended stay in the infirmery. At just under 1200ft below the surface the PJ's window begins to crack from the pressure. They move swiftly to the rear section only to have the controls for the rear compartment not work. Griffen runs back to the front and with a "Good luck, Rodney" seals the rear compartment with McKay inside. From Rodneys perspective you see him calling to Griffen and hear the window break. "Why would he do that? Why did you do that!!!" Mckay shouts as he realizes that Griffen sacrificed himself to save Rodney. That poor man has got to have some serious survivor's guilt issues. Honestly, look at all the death he has witnessed in the last year and a half. Abrams and Gall, the members of his team in Hotzone, the scientist in Trinity, Lindstrom from Intruder. I hope he is seeing Hieghtmier for this. Rodney battles his claustophobia, and searches for a way to save himself, suffers first from hypoxia, which he recognizes and had to fix the CO2 scrubbers. Sam arrives as a halucination brought on by fear, loneliness, and his head injury. The great thing is he knows he is seeing things, but that doesn't stop him from interacting with her. She is a visual representation of his own subconsious. They filmed this only a couple weeks after Amanda Tapping had given birth to her first child, and I have to say she looks great. Rodney's plan is to fire up the drivepods and try to make the pod resurface so that the rescue team can find him. He honestly doesn't think that anyone will be able to find him. He tells sam his plan, and she doesn't like it. Tells him to trust in his team, they will rescue him. He doesn't trust his fellow scientists. We learn he was in the PJ because Radek is affair to fly and asked Rodney to take the PJ on the test flight. Meanwhile Sheppard is working on a plan to rescue Rodney combinding things from all over the place into a magnetic grapple to grap the jumper and raise it close enough to the surface to allow for rescue divers to get to him. Zelenka is working on finding the PJ because they lost the radio signal when the window collapsed. BTW Radek is really cute in a labcoat. When they finally narrow the search to a few squard miles rather than hundreds of miles, Sheppard is pleased. The depth is too great for the PJ to go, but John suggests they turn the cloak into a shield, the same way they turned the city shield into a cloak. Radek is reluctant to go, stating he can't swim. Wier is diplomatic with him saying she won't order him to go, to which John replies "I will!" One of the best Rodney lines: "I need to be the one trying to save the poor bastard, not being the poor bastard stuck down here." Weir to Sheppard: "You and Rodney have been bugging me for months to try the puddlejumpers as a submersable. You went a hell of a long way to get me to say yes." Sheppard: "You having said it yet." Weir: "I just did" Sheppard: **smile**( bounce bounce, skip-hop, run ) The idea that John and Rodney together bugging, begging, pleading, to Weir to allow them to try out a puddlejumper as a submercible is the cutest thing ever. The PJ hits bottom and Rodney is happy, but Sam is not. He yells at her for taking away the one piece of good news he had, until he notices that the comparment is now taking on water slowly. Rodney gets ready to save himself and Sam tries to distract him by attempting to seduce him. It almost works, but he pushes her away and starts the drivepods. The power comes on briefly but it shuts down again, leaving only 30 minutes of power left. John and Radek in the PJ find the missing PJ by investigating a large sea creature that is circling one area. They extend the shield so that they can open the hatch and walk over the the other one. Rodney is nearly unconscious from hypothermia, and doesn't know what is real anymore when he hears John on the radio. He opens the rear hatch and the water rushes out. John and Radek run in and check him. Asking were Griffen is. Rodney points to the control area of the jumper. "He was in there." Need I say it again, *serious surivors guilt*. As they carry Rodney to their puddlejumper the whale swims over head. It is beautiful and alien, a lot like a humpback, but a lot bigger and with a different tail than that of a Earth whale. As they get ready to leave, rodney says, "I knew you would find me... at least subconsciously." He stands as the hatch closes and sees Sam standing in the recked jumper, she smile at him and waves goodbye. The end. What I really loved about the interaction between Rodney and Sam was when he asks why they never hooked up. "Because you're petty, arrogant, and treat people badly." Sam replies. "Aside from that." Rodney says. "No, thats it, petty, arrogant, bad with people." Rodney has a moment then with a hopeful slightly leacherous look he replies. "But you do find me attractive, phyiscally?" Its so sad and cute, you either want to smack him or hug him or both. I think it is safe to say that as far as "Trinity" is concerned things are back to being close to where they were. Next ep. The Tower. AKA someone was reading Bad!fic and decided to make an ep out of it.

Stargate Atlantis: Coup D'etat Comments
I meant to do this sooner but I was to tired last night and then I was busy for most of today. Anyway here are my comments for the episode: This was a very cool episode with lots of twists and turns and crazy stuff with great dialogue as well. I had a feeling they were being set up but it was still interesting trying to figured out what was really going on.One thing I haven't figured out yet is if Elizabeth told John that the bodies they found weren't really Major Lorne and his team. When John sees Lorne in the cell he makes a comment about having thought Lorne was dead until right then. So either Weir didn't tell him for some reason or John just meant that even though he knew the bodies weren t Lorne and his team he wasn't sure if they were still alive. The only reason I can think of for Weir not to have told John was, she wanted John to be focused on what was happening with the Genii and Landon, not on the investigation. Teyla and Ronon were already investigating what had happened so there wasn't really that much of a point in telling John yet.Speaking of Teyla and Ronon, I really liked them in this episode because they actually had an important role this time, unlike most other episodes where they are usually pushed to the background. I thought the scene where Ronon was complaining that he and Teyla weren't included in the pictures was great. He was almost whining about it. :O)I loved the raid on the compound. Weir really needs to stop saying yes to John and Rodney when they double team her in order to beg ask her for something, because they get into trouble every time. I loved how indulgent John was with Rodney during the raid. For example, the scene where he was talking about having stunned, or almost having stunned, someone. Rodney's attempt at using military signs/terms to say that there was one person in the room was great too, along with the look John gave him and then Rodney's, "what? Didn't I do it right?"Unfortunately, it did end up being a trap, but hey they found Lorne! It's a very good thing that Landon's sister was with the group of sick people that went to Atlantis or else they'd all be dead now. Speaking of those people, why did they go to Atlantis? I must have missed that part of the plan All in all a great episode and I was very happy with it!

If there are things you want to see on the comm that'll be your chance to speak up.Thank you for your continuing interest in the comm.

Joe! Joe! Joe!
There are a lot of wonderful JF moments in SGA. He's a joy to watch--his acting is quiet and subtle, and even if he just has a small role in a scene, he's always reacting to everything and everyone around him. Especially with Rodney. *g* And we know from "Sanctuary" that when he's trying to be romantic and smooth, he just comes across as adorably dorky. He has some great moments in all the eps, but I think his meatiest role so far has been in Letters from Pegasus. From his initial discomfort when he realizes Teyla is offering to rescue Orin and the villagers, to their conversation in the jumper where he tells Teyla " You can only fight the battles you can win."(caps courtesy of stargatecaps.com)There's a glimpse of something darker going on, and you can't help but wonder where he learned that lesson. I really like the way JF plays it.

I come bringing iconage, warning there might be some spoilers in there as well. Happy Sunday! Tearers: 1.2.

Hey all, I apologize for letting things slip these last two weeks. Things have been difficult but I'm getting a hold of it all. I'm going to try my best to upload the two new Atlantis episodes this evening, and I'll see about getting the two SG-1 ones up tomorrow... That's if YSI is being amicable.

What...the....hell?
Dear Stargate: Atlantis "The Tower",I would like to take this time to say "thank-you". I have never laughed so hard in my life at something that terrible...EVER. That has to be the single worst episode of all time. Was this supposed to be an April Fools' Joke? Because I am still waiting for someone to pop up on my tv and go "HA! APRIL FOOLS! Here's the REAL episode!" Even insanely drunk, high off the strongest street drug you can think of AND missing part of my brain all at the same time, that STILL would not make this episode any better. You are so lucky I am a dedicated fan and know the show is 51658135158135 times better than this because if this was my first time watching, I would have never tuned in again. ....ok, maybe I would because all the guys were still hot despite everything else being painful, but I'm not that vain!Thank-you for the laugh.Sincerly, Shiera

Have to get in on "Joe" day...
And seeing as how I'm on the west coast, I still have twenty minutes left...:)Lately, I've been thinking about why I like the Sheppard character so much better than O'Neill. Speaking as an Air Force spouse, I ought to like them both the way a great many of my friends do. I mean, they're both Air Force and we all like seeing how they are portrayed. They're both good guys, brave and responsible, the kind of officer we hope to interact with every day, so we watch and cheer and say, "What's not to like?" (Although we won't hesitate to laugh at all of the stuff the show runners get wrong. We do give them points for trying though, and the fact that we're not throwing popcorn at the screen the way an FBI agent friend of mine used to do at "The X-Files.") :) Despite those similarities, I've never warmed up to O'Neill the way I have to Sheppard, and I think I've finally figured out why. The thing my husband and other Air Force officers say about O'Neill is that "He says the things we want to say." He also gets away with a great deal, never getting more than a slap for breaking regs or disregarding protocol, always able to do exactly what he sees needs to be done.In other words, he's the officer they'd all like to be.Sheppard, on the other hand, seems to have the same ideals as O'Neill, but he hasn't had as easy a time of it. *He's* actually had to deal with the system getting in his way, the same way a great many real-life officers have had to deal with bureaucracy and politics keeping them from doing what they often see as the clear-cut "right thing" to do. He obviously knows what it means to be frustrated, and the internal dilemma constantly coming up against "the wall of regs" can cause. Because of this, you can see why Atlantis means so much to him. It's the one place where he can escape the command structure that keeps hanging around his neck, at least for a little while. Not that being in Atlantis is easy. It comes with its own frustrations: new enemies, unknown dangers, and lack of resources. But still, you get the feeling that's why Sheppard is the guy for this job. He already knows what it's like to have to fight with his back up against the wall. Being put under pressure is nothing new to him. Thus, to me, Sheppard is the closest thing I've seen to an actual Air Force officer. They try hard and do their best, no matter what the situation, even when it's their very own support structure that's getting in their way.So this is why I think I like Sheppard better. O'Neill may be who my husband wants to be, but to my thinking, Sheppard is who he is already. That makes my attraction to both this character and this show very clear, and makes me want to really compliment both JF and the show writers for doing such a great job of bringing the character to life.Anyway, that's it. If I post right now, I'll think I'll just make it... ;)

FIC: Past Misfortunes, Present Blessings - Part 12 (SGA/Thoughtcrimes)
Gosh, sorry to keep y'all waiting. I've been having issues being worked out with the characters. I'm trying to get more up soon.Part XII"There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. And with it comes the only basic human duty, the duty to take the consequences." -- P.J. O'RourkeFreya marked the page she was on as the door swished closed behind the man who had just entered her office. She'd been expecting someone to drop by, but when she looked up, the person looked right, but she had never quite seen that expression on his face before."Teyla and I are returning in a couple of days to check on Rodney and '994. He's still checking things out," Sheppard said, without preamble, but that didn't explain the cocky grin accompanied by a slight bouncing on the balls of his feet as he stood there."What is it?" Freya asked, skipping a few parts of the conversation herself."Rodney agrees with me.""So you and Teyla are going to help him with a worn-down Stonehenge copy?""No, we're going to be there to back Rodney up when he figures out how to access the device generating the field at the exact center of the worn-down Stonehenge copy.""You came to tell me I'm not invited," she guessed."It's too dangerous, Freya. You're compromised out there," Sheppard said, flatly. He wasn't bouncing anymore."I wasn't ready.""Dammit, we almost lost you!""And we know better, now, don't we? I'm an observer, Brendan. Let me do what I do best.""You can observe from here," he insisted.Freya stood up, placing her hands palm down on the desk in front of her and leaning towards him. "Why are you doing this to me?""Teyla sensed the same thing you did, but she wasn't as badly affected. Why take the risk when you can OBSERVE from here?"Freya took a deep breath, then let it out. "You asked, no you practically ordered me to be on your team, and now you're cutting me out. Please, let me help."Sheppard turned away from her, and for a moment, she caught the edges of his anxiety before he blocked her out again."Don't be frightened," she said, softly. Relaxing her stance, she sat back down."Two years ago, you would have sat this one out," Sheppard said, softly, still not looking at her."Two years ago, I barely qualified as a rookie agent, and had no training to speak of. Thanks to you, I'm not that bad anymore.":I can't protect you from this,: Freya heard him think, and a moment later Sheppard spoke."I don't want to see you hurt, Freya."The telepath didn't know what to say as she watched her former partner walk out the door, and let out a deep sigh as the door swished closed."I just don't get him these days," Freya said to Teyla over the rapid sounds of sticks hitting each other as they went through some of the beginning patterns. "He begged me to back him up, and now, he's saying I can't go.""You speak of Colonel Sheppard?" the Athosian woman asked."What other him would it be?" Freya replied with a scowl, but her lapse in attention was rewarded with a smarting blow as Teyla knocked one of the paired sticks from her hand, sending it clattering to the wall."You and John certainly are close. Is it not normal to wish to protect those we . . . care for?" The hesitation before the final phrase caught Freya's attention."He knows he can trust me. We worked together for nearly a year, and then he went off and disappeared on me. All I knew was that he transferred to another project. Nobody I talked to could tell me what happened to the best partner I ever had. Apparently, I'm also the only partner he ever could be bothered to work with," Freya continued, trying desperately to continue to block Teyla's attacks."Halt," Teyla said, frowning at Freya's form. "You are improving, but your mind is on other matters. Perhaps it would be in your best interest to address things before we spar again." The Athosian nodded, and Freya looked over to see Sheppard watching them, with a mildly amused smirk on his face."I'll have you know, Freya, that the reason you were the only partner I ever stuck beside was because the others all suddenly desired transfers," he said, with a shrug."Because you kept them on the outside, Brendan, just like you are, now," Freya said, thrusting her remaining stick into Teyla's hands and pushing past Sheppard to exit the workout room. "You can be the best leader in the world, John, but that doesn't make you a better partner."Sheppard continued to look at Freya's retreating back, then turned to Teyla. "Do I want to know what that was about?""I would say that you already know, Colonel Sheppard," Teyla said, shaking her head.Sheppard leaned against the wall, scratching his head. "She's acting like I don't have everyone's best interests in mind when I make my decisions.""I am not certain it is your mind making this one," Teyla said, then, picking up the stick that had fallen to one side, she offered the pair to Sheppard. "Shall we see if you have improved as well?"Freya was in her office again, reading through a set of files on the nature of the various types of ancient technology discovered so far when a knock on the wall beside the door caught her attention. Looking up, she was surprised to see Rodney standing there."Dr. McKay, you're back," she said."Yes, well, when your reports came through, I realized that it was imperative that I be here to make certain things were taken care of," the scientist replied."Well, I'm glad you took time out of your busy schedule to come see me, but I'm sure by now you've been informed that I won't be returning to the planet," Freya commented, unable to keep her bitterness out of her voice."That's precisely what I wanted to talk to you about.""I can't force the colonel to take me with him when he's already made up his mind, and you don't need to be a telepath to know that he has.""However, he has no say whatsoever on any scientists I choose to consider necessary."Freya blinked, surprised. "You're saying you want me, a person you have thought on numerous occaisions to be crazy, to work on your discovery?""Well, actually, no," Rodney said.At his words, Freya started to go back to her reading."Ms. McAllister, I want you there when I activate the device because your insight in the situation has already proven invaluable. Your . . . communication with the local indiginous lifeforms made it possible to realize that the supposedly random fluctuations we were seeing in the energy signature were in fact two separate types of energy interacting."She looked up at that. "You believe that they're real?""This isn't the first energy-based life form discovered via the stargate, and it isn't even the first found in this galaxy. And since they appear to be able to communicate, I fully intend to try to keep the means of communication open, which means I need you. Maybe the natives can tell us more about what the device we've found is used for," he said, turning to leave. "If you don't want to come, I suppose we could survive without you."Freya shook her head, grinning at the man in front of her. "No, I'm coming, I wouldn't miss this for the world."

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.16
In my review for the previous episode, I was less than pleased by the fact that the events were clearly contrived to result in the acquisition of some puddle-jumpers and drones, leaving the actual episode with a spare and predictable plot with little character exploration. Some people took me to task for calling the writers complacent ; an equal number of comments agreed with the fact that the writers dropped the ball.Still others, who have seen the episodes earlier than the mainstream US audience, predicted that I would hate this episode even more. After all, this episode seems to have even less to do with the threadbare season arc, doesn t really delve into the characters in any meaningful way, and follows a relatively predictable plot thread. In essence, many felt that I would have a strong negative reaction to any episode that didn t fit into what I felt was the season arc , and that s all there was to it.Well, it s not that simple. I actually liked many things about this episode. There s a very big difference between filler , which I see no excuse for, and stand-alone , which is a perfectly acceptable form of storytelling. Even arc-driven shows have stand-alone episodes (even if the best shows will ensure that the stand-alone episodes fit within the thematic side of a season arc). The X-Files had several excellent episodes that had nothing to do with the series mythology, after all, and that was a series fraught with consistency issues. The difference between the previous episode and this episode should be plain, though some won t recognize it. It has to do with the depth of effort. The previous episode didn t pave any new ground, didn t pose an interesting scenario, and then compounded the problem by dumping in a possible long-term plot element into the mix as if it justified the lack of depth in the rest of the episode. This time around, while the scenario itself was somewhat thin, it gave two cast members the chance to play with new material, and no attempt was made to force in a connection to the season arc. It was a pure stand-alone , and it worked on that level. That s not to say that it didn t have problems. Even with Caldwell s objections (which made a lot of sense, given his recent history), the team on Atlantis agreed to the idea of letting Sheppard join Weir in the possession situation a bit too easily. I also felt that McKay s attitude was a little forced, even if it makes sense for him to rail against Caldwell s assumption of command. The fact is, none of them were in a position to deal with an alien with all of Weir s knowledge, and Caldwell didn t screw up any worse than any of the team would have in the same situation. And there was no doubt that Weir and Sheppard would survive; it was just a question of how.I did like, however, the apparent return of the subtext between Sheppard, Weir, and Teyla. I ve always said that Sheppard and Teyla were circling each other, whatever else they might have to say about it, and Weir certainly has had her thoughts about Sheppard since the beginning of the series. It might have been better to muddy the picture a bit, so the audience couldn t be sure who was acting at any given time, but it still touches on character dynamics that have been sorely lacking of late. It s unlikely that this will ever come up again, except in passing, but this was a capable stand-alone.Writing: 1/2Acting: 2/2Direction: 2/2Style: 2/4Final Rating: 7/10

Gestalt Hotness of Hewlett
I thought I'd remind everyone what today's theme is, in case you've forgotten. As if that was likely to happen. While pondering the gestalt Hewlett hotness, I started thining about DH being nominated for some acting award for his role as Rodney. They're going to show a single clip of him as Rodney on the awards program. You get to choose the clip. What clip would you choose? After giving it considerable thought, since it is, after all, an important question, I decided I'd go with the moment in Before I Sleep when Rodney is explaining the idea of multiple universes to Elizabeth (who evidently never watched the original Star Trek). I know there are more dramatic moments, but I love that one for the obvious pleasure Rodney has in science and ideas and the little pleased hum he makes at the end, just like the one he makes when he finishes sucking John off.So, which clip would you all choose?

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.17 I ve been hard on

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.17
I ve been hard on the series this season, largely because I ve felt that the first season practice of weaving a larger story into the stand-alone episodes was far more successful than the haphazard direction taken in the second season. In a lot of ways, this series has suffered the Enterprise syndrome. That series began with a relatively average but promising first season, followed by a second season plagued by retreads and a lack of forward progress. One of the more interesting aspects of the first season was the Genii, a group that added a fresh perspective to the threat of the Wraith and what Pegasus Galaxy inhabitants might do to survive. In many respects, the second season replaced the Genii with Ford s group, which then failed to gel as a meaningful subplot past The Hive . In fact, while some episodes have hinted at elements that will play into the finale, most of the episodes have done little to advance existing plot threads. This episode doesn t necessarily address my concerns for the series, but it does revisit one of the better aspects of the first season, so it was more appealing in comparison. I would have preferred a more direct extension of the plot threads from the first season, especially if it would have meant another appearance for Sora, but this was at least a bit less predictable than other recent episodes.I like the fact that the Atlantis team found itself outplayed by the Genii, and in the end, they did little more than save themselves from an unfortunate end during the coup. I usually dislike episodes that leave the primary cast members as side notes to the real action, but this episode delivered an interesting message. In the end, the Atlantis team is still reactionary, and it is highly vulnerable as a result. Also interesting was the notion that pictures of specific Atlantis personnel were left on several worlds, all for the purpose of locating and abducting those with the Ancient gene. It occurred to me that this would give the Wraith an interesting clue as to the survival of Atlantis, were they to find those pictures. Granted, the Wraith are now apparently breaking up into factions, but some of them would still be focused on the possibility of new hunting grounds and the promise Atlantis offers.Hopefully, this episode will not represent the end of the line for the Genii. I m a little worried about the death of Cowen, but that could have been a concession to Colm s availability. Radim seems open to a more equitable alliance, but that could always lead to something more complex in the future. One can only hope so, because it was complexity that made this episode work.I also liked the fact that the subplot with Ronon and Teyla eventually intersected with the Genii plot. The two of them work together, but this episode continues to reveal the main differences between them. While Ronon continues to be little more than the warrior stereotype in action, Teyla shows actual intelligence. And it helps that she looked incredible in that silken top! OK, maybe Teyla wasn t taken in exciting new directions in this episode, but lately, I m just happy to see her back in action.Writing: 2/2Acting: 2/2Direction: 2/2Style: 1/4Final Rating: 7/10

Much better! This episode uses at least two

Much better!
This episode uses at least two plots from the original series of Star Trek (and probably several other shows have used the same ideas as well). However, it was a pretty good episode. Yeah there were some stupid choices being made (letting John get imprinted with the second alien for one) in order to make the plot work, but they weren't as bad as they could have been. Yes battle between the last to surviving members from a war has been done many times but it did make for an entertaining hour.I loved the scenes between McKay and Caldwell! Those two were great. Snarky McKay to save the day again and bitching about it the whole way. Then there was the last scene in the infirmary between Elizabeth and John and then later Caldwell showed up. Am I the only person who had an "The X-Files" moment? That scene where Caldwell tells John and Elizabeth that he understands how they feel and the sense of unity between the three of them in that moment reminded me of Skinner with Mulder and Scully...All in all I thought this was a pretty good episode and a HUGE improvement over last week!
