Stargate - Stargate Atlantis: The Official Companion, Season 1
Stargate Atlantis: The Official Companion, Season 1
A new Stargate team embarks on a dangerous mission to a distant galaxy, where they discover a mythical lost city and a deadly new enemy the Wraith. New characters, new planets, new alien encounters: but the same irresistible brand of Stargate adventure!
Here s the official companion to the first season, packed with behind the scenes interviews, an episode guide and scores of photos, including a 16pp colour gallery.
Customer Review: Good Stuff For Stargate Fans
One of my criteria for judging an episode guide is: Does it have anything to say about various minor recurring characters? Because typically I like them more than the main cast. So my question in reading this book was, did it find time to include an entry on Dr. Zelenka? Yes. Yes, it did. And all was right with the world.
This is a guide to the first season of "Stargate Atlantis", a spin-off, of course, to the popular "Stargate: SG-1" series. In this show, our group of heroes and heroines is stuck in the Pegasus Galaxy after a one-way transgalactic hop via a super-powered gate dial-out from the SGC on Earth. They hope to find the lost city of Atlantis, home of the long-ago-ascended Ancients, and find it they do. Unfortunately, they also discover that the Ancients bailed out of Pegasus some 10,000 years ago after accidentally creating their own nemeses in the form of the Wraith, who really enjoy treating humans as tasty lifeforce snacks. And while there are various human-settled worlds still to be found, not all of them are delighted to see the folks from Earth show up, especially once word gets around that the Stargate team sort of accidentally woke the Wraith back up way before schedule.
This book presents a brief summary of each episode of the first season, along with some minimal cast and crew notes. There's also commentary provided by cast and crew about what went on in the making of the episodes, what their original intentions had been, what worked and what didn't. There are brief character sketches of the main cast, which really have much more to do with details on the actors and how they got the roles and how they approach them.
Also included is a section on the development of the show and another on some of the departments or key players (stunts, production design) behind the scenes. A lot of photos are provided, mostly in black and white but a few publicity stills in color.
I had very low expectations for this book based on previous Stargate episode guides, but it very much exceeded them. It's not a classic of its kind nor indispensable, but if you're a keen fan of the show and you really want to know some of the details about what it takes to put together an episode, you won't be disappointed.

Stargate Atlantis: Rising (Stargate Atlantis) (Stargate Atlantis)
Following the discovery of an Ancient outpost buried deep in the Antarctic ice sheet, Stargate Command sends a new team of explorers through the Stargate to the distant Pegasus galaxy.
Emerging in an abandoned Ancient city, the team quickly confirms that they have found the Lost City of Atlantis. But, submerged beneath the sea on an alien planet, the city is in danger of catastrophic flooding unless it is raised to the surface. Things go from bad to worse when the team must confront a new enemy known as the Wraith who are bent on destroying Atlantis.
Stargate Atlantis is the exciting new spin-off of the hit TV show, Stargate SG-1. Based on the script of the pilot episode, Rising is a must-read for all fans and includes deleted scenes and dialog not seen on TV with photos from the pilot episode.
Customer Review: A fun read
I love Stargate Altantis, the show is smart and fun. The novelization of the pilot "Rising" is just the same. There are wonderful "inside their heads" moments for almost every character. This book is a quick, fun read, with lovely color photos in the center of the book.
The book is true to the script, which means that certain scenes are played out in a slightly different order than you see them in the aired pilot. Some lines are spoken by different people so that might be a little jarring if you've watched it as many times as I have. There are a few very good scenes that are not in the show that are in this book that I really liked.
So if you like novelizations, I hightly recommend this one. If you've never read one, this would be a good one to get. And if you've never seen SG-Atlantis, who knows, it might peek your interest in a really well made show.
Customer Review: Really enjoying this novelization!
I am currently reading Sally Malcolm's novelization of the Stargate Atlantis pilot episode, "Rising". I am a huge fan of this show and, therefore, very particular about the way the characters are portrayed in stories. I am finding that Ms. Malcolm has a very good grasp of the characters from the show. She writes them well and has, as far as I've read, kept the characters true to the premise of the tv show. She also has added some wonderful insights into the characters that would help explain the story to those readers who are not as familiar with the tv show. I would definitely recommend this book and I also hope that Sally Malcolm will write more Atlantis novels!

The Stargate Atlantis team encounter a society where high priests of the local cult are able to protect the society from attacks by the Wraith by using technology left behind by the Ancients. However, the genetic ability to use the weapons has faded over successive generations, leaving the people increasingly vulnerable to attack. With the Wraith growing ever bolder in their attacks, the team must decide whether to inoculate the priests with a gene therapy which will restore their abilities, and also decide whether or not to withhold the therapy from the rest of the population in order to shore up the dominance of the high priests.Stargate Atlantis

Stargate Atlantis - Stargate Atlantis: Rising (Stargate Atlantis) (Stargate Atlantis)

I had very low expectations for this book based on previous Stargate episode guides, but it very much exceeded them. It's not a classic of its kind nor indispensable, but if you're a keen fan of the show and you really want to know some of the details about what it takes to put together an episode, you won't be disappointed.

[Right here, you know that things are really, really bad, if the title didn't clue you in. "In Luv With A Stripper"...]
Sasuke walked into the bar and took a seat at the counter, "One Corona.." He said boredly,"Comin right up sir." The bartender said in a raspy voice.
[This person doesn't believe in breaking up the dialogue...]
Sasuke looked up at the stipping pole and saw a beautiful pink haired girl in pink lingerie. Sasukes jaw fell
[::sarcasm:: Oh, poor Sasukes Jaw. I hope he's not hurt too badly...learn to use apostropes, idiot.]
open as he stared at the girl,"Sir your corona." The bartender said. Sasuke hadn't noticed,"Heh. Thats Sakura Haruno. Shes new here. I hear shes still a virgin." The bartender said chuckling. Sasuke shook his head,"I wasnt thinking that!" He said blushing a bit.
[Arrrggh. Arrgggh. Dare we read further?]
She poppin she rollin she rollin She climbin that pole and I'm N Luv with a stripper She trippin she playin she playin I'm not goin nowhere girl I'm stayin I'm N Luv with a stripper
[We dare. But lyrics to that hideous rap 'song' aren't making it any easier to do...]
The bartender chuckled and walked off to another costomer.
[COSTomer? Did the "u" suddenly pop off the author's keyboard?]
Sasuke blushed as he noticed that the stripper named Sakura had been walking towards him. She sat on his lap and smiled at him,"Hi im Sakura. Whats your name?" She said innocently.
[Forgive me for being confused, but I hardly think that a STRIPPER could be innocent-sounding.]
Sasuke felt his pants get tighter
[as he readjusted his belt...or not. What is it about badfics that they always have to use that pants-tightening device to indicate arousal?]
'oh god' he thought,"S-Sasuke." He said looking into her beautiful bright green eyes. Sakura smiled,"Nice to meet you Sasuke" She said sweetly. Sasuke blushed,"Y-Yea.." He stuttered. Sakura giggled cutely,"I like you." She whispered in his ear.
[And here's Sasuke's cue to pick his personality up off the floor and get out of the badfic, ASAP.]
She poppin she rollin she rollin She climbin that pole and I'm N Luv with a stripper She trippin she playin she playin I'm not goin nowhere girl I'm stayin I'm N Luv with a stripper
[Here, even the author is getting a headache from not breaking up the dialogue, and decides to insert more of that trashy 'song'.]
Sasuke blushed uncontolably,"I-I-I...I..I uh..I l-like y-you to-too.." Sasuke stutterd. Sakura giggled.
[Actually, if anybody was in character in this awful thing, Sasuke's line would be, "Whatever." And he'd tell her to put some clothes on. Jesus!]
But then, it's from FF.Net. What can you expect?
The brave ones can click here and see the rest of the badfic.

What...the....hell?
Dear Stargate: Atlantis "The Tower",I would like to take this time to say "thank-you". I have never laughed so hard in my life at something that terrible...EVER. That has to be the single worst episode of all time. Was this supposed to be an April Fools' Joke? Because I am still waiting for someone to pop up on my tv and go "HA! APRIL FOOLS! Here's the REAL episode!" Even insanely drunk, high off the strongest street drug you can think of AND missing part of my brain all at the same time, that STILL would not make this episode any better. You are so lucky I am a dedicated fan and know the show is 51658135158135 times better than this because if this was my first time watching, I would have never tuned in again. ....ok, maybe I would because all the guys were still hot despite everything else being painful, but I'm not that vain!Thank-you for the laugh.Sincerly, Shiera

Stargate Atlantis Episodes
Hi There!
I'm new (and relatively new to LJ)! I'm here because, I too am looking for more "ship" Atlantis fanfic!
My fave characters are Carson Beckett and Steven Caldwell (though McKay CRACKS ME UP, I just don't find him sexy!). None of the female characters on the show seem to go well with either Carson or Steven, so I'm forced to pair them with original characers!
Hope to have something good enough to put up soon!
:)

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.19
Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.19
This is another one of those episodes that gets under my skin for all the wrong reasons. There was a distinct point to the episode: deliver unto the team at Atlantis an Ancient warship as a Wraith ship appears on the long-range sensors. All else is window dressing, and it leaves this episode in much the same position as The Tower . It exists to provide the characters with a source of arms and defense when needed; the rest is easily disposable.
At least this episode sets the new technology at the heart of the plot. The primary sin of The Tower was placing the drones and puddle-jumpers tangential to the main plot. The first season used to do episodes like this all the time, and they usually got it right: figure out what plot element you want to introduce, figure out a way for the characters to discover it, and work the plot around that mode of discovery.
The trick, though, is making sure that the plot itself is substantial enough to justify its own existence. The Tower failed in that respect, and to a lesser extent, the same issue comes up in this episode. It s all too easy to dismiss everything but the introduction of the Ancient warship. Sure, the supervolcano is interesting enough, and it s always fun to watch the cast deal with a crisis in consistent fashion, but it all comes across as rather disposable.
If there s a nice twist in this episode, it s the fact that McKay has the chance at the babe this time around, not Sheppard. I m mildly amused by the fact that Sheppard is annoyed by this turn of events. At the same time, I find it hard to take it seriously when the babe in question was the prominent eye candy on the abysmal final season of Andromeda . It s like making Tara Reid an archeologist. It breaks the willing suspension of disbelief in a matter of nanoseconds.
I also liked the fact that McKay s character exploration this season was touched upon again, even if it wasn t any sort of attempt at character development or advancement (something I continue to look for despite evidence that it rarely happens in this franchise). He knew damn well that the rest of the team was expecting him to work out a solution to the problem under pressure, and that s exactly what happened. I like the self-awareness.
Perhaps the best way to sum up my thoughts on the episode is this: I had to keep myself from looking for something else to do. It just wasn t holding my interest. Like too many episodes of Atlantis this season, I was forcing myself to pay attention and give it due time and consideration. And that s not how I felt during the first season, or how I feel with SG-1 or BSG this season.
My worry for the third season is that the producers won t realize something is missing, and the same lack of originality will send this high-potential concept to an early grave. Looking back, I had similar feelings during the second season of Enterprise . Both series started out with troubled yet promising first seasons, followed by second seasons that seemed to promise more and deliver less. Enterprise shook things up for its third season, flawed as the attempt was will Atlantis be able to bounce back more effectively?

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.17
I ve been hard on the series this season, largely because I ve felt that the first season practice of weaving a larger story into the stand-alone episodes was far more successful than the haphazard direction taken in the second season. In a lot of ways, this series has suffered the Enterprise syndrome. That series began with a relatively average but promising first season, followed by a second season plagued by retreads and a lack of forward progress.
One of the more interesting aspects of the first season was the Genii, a group that added a fresh perspective to the threat of the Wraith and what Pegasus Galaxy inhabitants might do to survive. In many respects, the second season replaced the Genii with Ford s group, which then failed to gel as a meaningful subplot past The Hive . In fact, while some episodes have hinted at elements that will play into the finale, most of the episodes have done little to advance existing plot threads.
This episode doesn t necessarily address my concerns for the series, but it does revisit one of the better aspects of the first season, so it was more appealing in comparison. I would have preferred a more direct extension of the plot threads from the first season, especially if it would have meant another appearance for Sora, but this was at least a bit less predictable than other recent episodes.
I like the fact that the Atlantis team found itself outplayed by the Genii, and in the end, they did little more than save themselves from an unfortunate end during the coup. I usually dislike episodes that leave the primary cast members as side notes to the real action, but this episode delivered an interesting message. In the end, the Atlantis team is still reactionary, and it is highly vulnerable as a result.
Also interesting was the notion that pictures of specific Atlantis personnel were left on several worlds, all for the purpose of locating and abducting those with the Ancient gene. It occurred to me that this would give the Wraith an interesting clue as to the survival of Atlantis, were they to find those pictures. Granted, the Wraith are now apparently breaking up into factions, but some of them would still be focused on the possibility of new hunting grounds and the promise Atlantis offers.
Hopefully, this episode will not represent the end of the line for the Genii. I m a little worried about the death of Cowen, but that could have been a concession to Colm s availability. Radim seems open to a more equitable alliance, but that could always lead to something more complex in the future. One can only hope so, because it was complexity that made this episode work.
I also liked the fact that the subplot with Ronon and Teyla eventually intersected with the Genii plot. The two of them work together, but this episode continues to reveal the main differences between them. While Ronon continues to be little more than the warrior stereotype in action, Teyla shows actual intelligence. And it helps that she looked incredible in that silken top! OK, maybe Teyla wasn t taken in exciting new directions in this episode, but lately, I m just happy to see her back in action.

Flame on!
Mods: If this is against the rules, please delete.
I went back and checked. Our Doctor Who belly-button author has been sproked three times in this community.
First time. Second time. Third time.
I left a review of the one DOCTOR WHO, JESSE AND JEREMY posted on the Teaspoon site. Since the rules discourage/forbid flames, it was not as snarky as it could have been. My review --> I am prevented from voicing my feelings on this because flames are discouraged. I will settle by saying two words - Mary Sue.
Author's Response: You are the type of person who just has to get their point across no matter how insulting or injurious they are to others' creativity. You SHOULD be prevented from voicing your feelings because they just show how you want to hurt others. Yes, it's a Mary Sue and I'm proud of it. If you actually read the entire thing, I'm sure you might find something entertaining. Then again, a nasty piece of work like you probably would not. People like you are the reason wars break out. If you have nothing nice to say, don't say it. I wish I could find a way to remove your "reveiw". You are most unkind, unwelcome, and please don't voice another opinion of yours on my stories.
Wow. That was better written than the fic.
Then the retaliation reviews:
Your dialog in this chapter is forced, unbelievable, and sort of well, dull beyond belief.
Okay you describe things really well but what happens in your stories is sort of non important in my book. I also think your dialog is really, really bad.
Some of you may recall, the fic I reviewed starts out...
"I am your father."
I still can't believe this is the opening line.
The fic continues on for twenty paragraphs/lines of dialogue before we are told who is actually speaking.
And a few paragraphs after that we get...
Oh yeah, he was wearing at the time, a short cut black and purple and pink short cut ripped cotton shirt hanging rips over a smooth delicious belly and a poked in but somewhat outtie innie navel and his denim pants were low, low low and from that I think I could tell he was not wearing any underwear. Anyway I felt his skin against my back as my Oak Beach Inn Tee Shirt rode up, rubbing on his fine belly.
I always love these afterthought descriptions.
"Oh, yeah, I need to describe my characters! Forget editing, I'll just tack it on the end."
Apparently, I now write bad!fic. Who knew?

God when will this madness ever stop?
From the RK fandom
Kenshin was seriously wounded in a recent battle wth Shioshi.
Oooh! Goody. Here comes my favorite part: renaming the characters and making fools out of the poor creators of Rurouni Kenshin. What does wht mean? *stomps on fic*
"Sanosuke-dono?"
*chokes* You have got to be kidding me. Goddammit! Are you out of your mind?
The Battousai was the most feared assassin ever. Then he quit... And decided to go to high school.
Just like that huh? It's a pity we aren't allowed to pick on writers...because boy did I have plans for you. I was thinking of flushing your head down the toilet and repeating the action several times until your mind was jelly...but then again, we aren't allowed to pick on writers. So I won't! *smirks and rips fic to shreds*
At that moment, Aoshi walked up to their table. Hey, guys, can I sit with you?
*looks around* Okay...it appears that while I was busy destroying horrendous quotes, I was transported into another dimension. Let me out! *runs around in circle*

kagey and I have been receiving inquiries about when the comm will resume. We've decided to wait until all of season two has aired on Sci Fi.
In a couple of weeks we'll be asking for suggestions for discussion topics, and things needing celebrating like Rodney's grey t-shirt. If there are things you want to see on the comm that'll be your chance to speak up.
Thank you for your continuing interest in the comm.

Capsule Review: Stargate:Atlantis 2.18
Plot elements from the first half of the season finally come back into play in this episode, and it s a welcome change of pace. The writers were struggling since the less-than-stellar Lt. Ford subplot last reared its ugly head, and part of that was a lack of focus. If this episode is any indication, the intention is to shake things up a little just in time for the season finale.
If I were going to emphasize the negative a bit more, I would note that the writers chose a convenient time to remember, all of a sudden, that they had been messing with the cure to the Wraith for quite some time. After all, it hadn t been mentioned for several episodes. More to the point, after flirting with several possible leaks regarding the survival of Atlantis, now one appears just in time to force a battle (presumably) in the finale. It s a bit predictable (and now The Tower seems even more contrived as a means to an end).
That said, I enjoy the idea of self-inflicted wounds, because Weir took a morally questionable choice, and now it s blown up in her face. It takes the story back into the kind of desperate territory that the series was supposed to address, and something that the links to Earth this season may have stripped away. Weir didn t play it safe this time around, and if anything, the entire team let their defenses down, with the exception of Ronon.
What I like about this is the dangerous quality of the choice. Weir and the team conducted a biological experiment against the will of the subject. It s morally ambiguous at best and a war crime at worst, especially since the ultimate goal would be to generate a biological weapon to eliminate the enemy. As it is, one cannot predict how Michael s reintroduction will affect the Wraith. Michael has a lot of reason to hate the humans, but he also seemed unable to treat them as prey anymore.
In a lot of ways, Ronon was the weak link of the plan, and Weir should have done something to keep him away from Michael. If it wasn t for his hostility, would Michael have tried to uncover the truth so quickly? For that matter, this is where the self-inflicted wounds come into play: it was far too easy for Michael to find the record of his conversion. It s as if the experiment came along before anyone was properly prepared to conduct it.
A larger question emerges: is the goal of wiping out the Wraith and making them into something more human really a good idea? Especially if the long-term effect would be unpredictable at best? What if the process ended with Wraith characteristics returning, but with the human appearance intact? Then the problem becomes much worse. Of course, it s already worse, because the Wraith now have evidence that Atlantis is intact and the humans living there are close to finding a way to wipe out the Wraith, possibly for good. The Wraith have every reason to attack Atlantis regardless of internecine warfare, and while that s a predictable direction going into the finale, I really like how they finally decided to get there.

Hiko must be ripping his hair out in frustration. You just tarnished his ego by making him...giggle!

New Update To The Shippy Guide At Sheppard/Weir Site
New Update To The Shippy Guide At Sheppard/Weir Site
The Shippy Guide at the Sheppard/Weir Shipper Site has been updated with a review of "The Long Goodbye". Huge thanks to Pooh for doing this.
The Last Four Days
We're nearing the end, just a handful of days to go. I have the schedule for the remaining time. Hopefully, it will meet with your approval.
Monday--Nipple Celebration Day--you knew it had to happen. It doesn't have to be just Rodney's nipples, although those have been the most
Tuesday--The Gestalt Hotness of Hewlett--to borrow kagey's wonderfully apt phrase
Wednesday--Catch Up Day
Thursday--All About Joe--it's only fair, and he is damned
Friday--Squee for All--squee as much as you would like, share the excitement, the aniticipation, the kiss Rodney is going to plant on John when he sees him again...
If folks want to squee about the premiere over the weekend, that would be wonderful. I will ask that you all use spoiler cuts when discussing the premiere out of consideration for those poor Canadians and Europeans who won't have seen it yet. I know it airs in Canada on the 18th, and not everyone will download it, so please be considerate. Thank you.
Let the nipple talk begin. /g/
Is this thing on?
Now that the finale for season two of Atlantis has aired in the US and will air soon in Britain, advent_atlantis will begin counting down to the premiere of season three.
After some discussion kagey and I have decided that we'll go with weekly topics for now, perhaps switching to daily or bi-weekly once we get closer to the air date. Topics will be announced in advance so folks will have time to prepare for them, everything from art to fic to vids to a discussion post is welcome. Last year we had quizzes and Top Ten lists, as well as a vid from
If you have suggestions for topics, please let us know by commenting on this post. Topics can include any aspect of the show from costumes to favorite scenes to favorite caps of Rodney's hands. We had a "Guns, Thighs and Holsters" Day last year, as well as a "Chicks Kick Ass" day, and the requisite "Cute Canadian Day." What parts of the show do you want to talk about? It can be as silly or as thoughtful as you like. For example, Grrrl has suggested we talk about Rodney and MREs. One caveat, please make your suggestions show rather than fandom focused. There are lots of communities and sites for reccing and discussing fanfic, vids, art, etc. The purpose of this community is to celebrate the show itself.
We'll continute to take suggestions as the weeks pass.
Because we are hoping to retain some of the excitement we had last year with everyone posting and talking about a topic on the same day, we're going to have weekly topics, but one or two days for posting. To help us decide what days of the week should be designated for posting, I've included a poll. I've made it boxes so you can choose your top two preferences if you wish.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions. Last year was a lot of fun, and I'm confident this year will be, too.

Gate Creation: The Website
It's time to announce our little secret...
Gate Creation at LJ has a Sister-Site that has been waiting patiently in the wings. The link for this site can be found in the Menu Bar at the top of the page. This site is also a work in progress, but we are keen to get it introduced. There's not much there yet, but we will be updating it frequently.
At this stage, it is mostly a graphics site - FanFiction is not included as there are many extensive FanFic Archives in operation already. We are not limiting the site to Secondary Characters either (like the LJ), though we do hope to include a larger-than-usual supply of artwork on these characters.
All work submitted here (at the LJ) will be reviewed for posting to the Sister-Site. Permission will always be sought before any of your works are added to the new site. If you have any works on Sheppard or McKay that you would like us to consider, you may email previews of them to "atlantis@gatecreation.net" Please make sure that pictures included in the email are no larger than 150x200 pixels (you will be contacted for the full-sized version if your submission is accepted). If your work is chosen for the Website, you will be credited.
Last of all...
We will place a post in the LJ whenever the site is updated.
Challenge No 1 Voting
We're disappointed to announce that we only received submissions for two sections of the Challenge - Wallpapers and Icons. I guess we'll have to try something different for out next Challenge. We're open to suggestions and we'd like to know what kind of challenges you'd be interested in.

Have to get in on "Joe" day...
And seeing as how I'm on the west coast, I still have twenty minutes left...:)
Lately, I've been thinking about why I like the Sheppard character so much better than O'Neill. Speaking as an Air Force spouse, I ought to like them both the way a great many of my friends do. I mean, they're both Air Force and we all like seeing how they are portrayed. They're both good guys, brave and responsible, the kind of officer we hope to interact with every day, so we watch and cheer and say, "What's not to like?" (Although we won't hesitate to laugh at all of the stuff the show runners get wrong. We do give them points for trying though, and the fact that we're not throwing popcorn at the screen the way an FBI agent friend of mine used to do at "The X-Files.") :)
Despite those similarities, I've never warmed up to O'Neill the way I have to Sheppard, and I think I've finally figured out why. The thing my husband and other Air Force officers say about O'Neill is that "He says the things we want to say." He also gets away with a great deal, never getting more than a slap for breaking regs or disregarding protocol, always able to do exactly what he sees needs to be done.
In other words, he's the officer they'd all like to be.
Sheppard, on the other hand, seems to have the same ideals as O'Neill, but he hasn't had as easy a time of it. *He's* actually had to deal with the system getting in his way, the same way a great many real-life officers have had to deal with bureaucracy and politics keeping them from doing what they often see as the clear-cut "right thing" to do. He obviously knows what it means to be frustrated, and the internal dilemma constantly coming up against "the wall of regs" can cause. Because of this, you can see why Atlantis means so much to him. It's the one place where he can escape the command structure that keeps hanging around his neck, at least for a little while.
Not that being in Atlantis is easy. It comes with its own frustrations: new enemies, unknown dangers, and lack of resources. But still, you get the feeling that's why Sheppard is the guy for this job. He already knows what it's like to have to fight with his back up against the wall. Being put under pressure is nothing new to him.
Thus, to me, Sheppard is the closest thing I've seen to an actual Air Force officer. They try hard and do their best, no matter what the situation, even when it's their very own support structure that's getting in their way.
So this is why I think I like Sheppard better. O'Neill may be who my husband wants to be, but to my thinking, Sheppard is who he is already. That makes my attraction to both this character and this show very clear, and makes me want to really compliment both JF and the show writers for doing such a great job of bringing the character to life.
Anyway, that's it. If I post right now, I'll think I'll just make it... ;)

If I post right now, I'll think I'll just make it... ;)

From the summary:
Ok this origianly started as a explenation to why Lilly dosn't dance but it turned out to be a sort of Cinderella type thing and is a bit mushy and its set arround new Years so please reveiw and I hoopre you like it.. if you want more please tell me
From the fic itself:
I took out my book from its hiding place.. (the fridge) and started to read
Personally, I prefer to keep my books on shelves.
The Doctor sighed.. he knew he had lost the battle.. and he kissed me on the cheak
I don't know what a "cheak" is, but then again, I don't know why the author is using two fullstops and not capitalizing the words at the beginning of his/her sentences, either.
Oh my poor fandom.
The most horrific abortion of a fanfic ever.
I am not kidding. From the NARUTO fandom. The first two paragraphs (and a little of the third), with all formatting preserved, except for where I hit enter to insert comments.
Got the body of a goddess Got eyes butter pecan brown I see you girl Droppin Low She Comin Down from the ceiling To tha floo Yea She Know what she doin Yea yea yea She doin that right thang Yea yea yea yea ea I Need to get her over to my crib and do that night thang Cause I'm N Luv wit a stripper

He is now living a stable life. He is treatening to commit suicide but what happens when he meets the girl of his dreams literally?
*shakes head* I really wish I could understand these modern authors. How is threatening to commit suicide stable? What does treatening mean? What is wrong with you people? And where is the comma/full-stop before literally?
So many questions. Zip answers!

Oops! Found some again. I didn't realize that the Naruto fandom was so full of them:
His head nuzzled her saliva stained neck as he attempted to slow down his quickened breathing
Ewww...ewww! And eww again. That is one mental image I could've gone without.
Sakura gasped aloud at the added pressure beneath her and instinctively swung her hips against him.
All I can imagine here is a swing! Odd, isn't it?
She could not help herself when her eyes rested on his erect member. It was breathtaking.
*blinks and bursts into laughter* Breathtaking? This is certainly the first time I've seen this description!

ADMIN - Challenge 2
Now that our first challenge is over, we can move on to the second.
Following some good advice from you all, our challenges will be a bit different: from now on. The posting time for entries will be one month, with a voting period of one week. We will also have two challenges running at once, in an "overlapping" timeframe. This means that a new challenge will be posted every two weeks. If you don't like one of the challenges, you might want to try the other :)
We have also decided to give more general themes at this stage, so that it's easier for you to do something :)
We are considering some non-deadline challenges too - something that resembles the 100 icons or fanfic challenges.
We'd love to hear your opinions on this.
Our second challenge is UNDERGROUND.
You can use any pictures or plot bunnies from the episode "Underground" or c
