Stargate Atlantis: The Chosen (Stargate Atlantis) (Stargate Atlantis)

The Stargate Atlantis team encounter a society where high priests of the local cult are able to protect the society from attacks by the Wraith by using technology left behind by the Ancients. However, the genetic ability to use the weapons has faded over successive generations, leaving the people increasingly vulnerable to attack. With the Wraith growing ever bolder in their attacks, the team must decide whether to inoculate the priests with a gene therapy which will restore their abilities, and also decide whether or not to withhold the therapy from the rest of the population in order to shore up the dominance of the high priests.

Community Update
Hey all, I apologize for letting things slip these last two weeks. Things have been difficult but I'm getting a hold of it all.

I'm going to try my best to upload the two new Atlantis episodes this evening, and I'll see about getting the two SG-1 ones up tomorrow... That's if YSI is being amicable.

While exploring the unused sections of the Ancient city of Atlantis, Major John Sheppard and Dr. Rodney McKay stumble on a recording device that contains a new Stargate address. The address leads them to a world with a mysterious ruined city that may be part of an Ancient repository, or it may just be yet another trap for the unwary.

Top five (Stargate Atlantis)

Top five
Five things I love about SGA? Only five? /g/

1. First off Rodney. I didn't care for him *at all* on SG-1. I thought he was a rude, arrogant, complete jerk. His brilliance was far outweighed by his arrogance. I wasn't at all happy to hear he was going to Atlantis. I watched anyway, and have done a complete turn around. Yes, he's arrogant, but he's also caring, and heroic, and funny, a romantic, and damned good at what he does. There aren't many characters I started out loathing, but ended up loving. Now I look for the snark with glee, wait for the cutting remarks, go all soft and gooey at the caring. I've loved watching the evolution of his character!

2. John. Where do I start? He's a hero, no doubt about it, but not in the regular sense. He's fallable, and dorky, and sexy beyond belief. I love how he tries to act so cool, but usually manages to screw it up with something silly. His sense of humor is right up my alley (Clowns!). He's sarcastic and sweet by turns. He goes from lovable to a warrior in a heartbeat. I think that's probably the one thing that I really love most about Atlantis. The characters are very 3-D for me, with multiple shades and nuances.

3. Ronan. I do miss Ford, but holy cow, they did well with his replacement! Ronan reminds me of a sleek tiger who can look utterly at peace then spring into action. His eyes go from soft and melty to hard and cold in a flash. He can take out five men in 15 seconds flat, or gently carry a child to safety. He's not bad to look at, either. *g*

4. Teyla. I adore her! She's often the voice of reason, the conscious of the group, yet she's every inch a warrior. She holds her own with the men, in fact, often exceeds them.

5. I love the whole thought of Atlantis! A new galaxy, an new threat, another 8 years of watching!

Four favorite scenes.

1. The Hive and the whole clown speech! Oh god, that just slayed me! *g*

2. Inferno, when John was prodding Rodney to fix the engines. He knew *exactly* how far and hard to push. I love the thought of them knowing each other so well. :)

3. The Tower during the dinner scene with the goose. The look on John's face was priceless.

4. Duet, when Rodney got the giggles and realized he was hypoxic. DH did a fabulous job with that.

Three favorite eps.

1. Inferno. I absolutely love watching disaster movies, so this ep was right up my alley! It would still have been a favorite without all the jealousy, but there was jealousy, and it made me very happy. Not to mention the laptop velcroed to Rodney's back! *giggles*

2. The Hive. Mostly for the clown scene, but I loved watching John get suspicious, and his timing while delivering the clown speech was perfect.

3. Aurora. We got to know the Ancients a bit better in it. And what exactly was John so charmingly offering to be released? Hmmmm? *g*

Two favorite lines of dialog.

1. This one was a no-brainer. From The Hive. The clowns? Oh, yeah, the clowns. We fight them too -- entire armies, spilling out of Volkswagens. We do our best to fight them off, but they keep sending them in.

2. The second one was the whole speech in Inferno, when John was prodding Rodney to fix the engines.

One drabble. Reposted here at
[info]thegrrrl2002's request.

It seemed like every time a new phase started in John's life, he was on his back. The last time had been in an alien chair, deep in an icy cavern in Antarctica, lights swirling overhead, the buzz of the Ancients' systems whispering inside his head.

Two years later he was on his back again, only instead of being surrounded by cold, he was engulfed by heat-- hot breath, a warm, soft tongue, sweat slicked skin underneath his hands. Rodney's eyes filled his vision, more intriguing than the lights, and instead of the buzz of machinery, he heard murmured endearments.

Stargate Atlantis: The Official Companion, Season (Stargate Atlantis) 1

Stargate Atlantis: The Official Companion, Season 1

First there was the blockbuster Stargate movie, then the smash hit TV series Stargate SG-1, and now there s the equally successful spinoff show: Stargate Atlantis!

A new Stargate team embarks on a dangerous mission to a distant galaxy, where they discover a mythical lost city and a deadly new enemy the Wraith. New characters, new planets, new alien encounters: but the same irresistible brand of Stargate adventure!

Here s the official companion to the first season, packed with behind the scenes interviews, an episode guide and scores of photos, including a 16pp colour gallery.
Customer Review: Good Stuff For Stargate Fans
One of my criteria for judging an episode guide is: Does it have anything to say about various minor recurring characters? Because typically I like them more than the main cast. So my question in reading this book was, did it find time to include an entry on Dr. Zelenka? Yes. Yes, it did. And all was right with the world.

This is a guide to the first season of "Stargate Atlantis", a spin-off, of course, to the popular "Stargate: SG-1" series. In this show, our group of heroes and heroines is stuck in the Pegasus Galaxy after a one-way transgalactic hop via a super-powered gate dial-out from the SGC on Earth. They hope to find the lost city of Atlantis, home of the long-ago-ascended Ancients, and find it they do. Unfortunately, they also discover that the Ancients bailed out of Pegasus some 10,000 years ago after accidentally creating their own nemeses in the form of the Wraith, who really enjoy treating humans as tasty lifeforce snacks. And while there are various human-settled worlds still to be found, not all of them are delighted to see the folks from Earth show up, especially once word gets around that the Stargate team sort of accidentally woke the Wraith back up way before schedule.

This book presents a brief summary of each episode of the first season, along with some minimal cast and crew notes. There's also commentary provided by cast and crew about what went on in the making of the episodes, what their original intentions had been, what worked and what didn't. There are brief character sketches of the main cast, which really have much more to do with details on the actors and how they got the roles and how they approach them.

Also included is a section on the development of the show and another on some of the departments or key players (stunts, production design) behind the scenes. A lot of photos are provided, mostly in black and white but a few publicity stills in color.

I had very low expectations for this book based on previous Stargate episode guides, but it very much exceeded them. It's not a classic of its kind nor indispensable, but if you're a keen fan of the show and you really want to know some of the details about what it takes to put together an episode, you won't be disappointed.

Nothing hurrendous, but bad all the same.

she glances at me, you seemed like you wanted to say something.

I stare at her for a long time. That goofy grin of hers graced her face, her way of relieving the tension. And then I start to laugh. Really, like a maniac. And then the tears begin to flow, and the laughing stops. There s nothing but anguish. I start to cry like a little kid. I pull at my hair and sob uncontrollably.

I did! I did okay? But I m not going to say it anymore! No one s gonna listen!

I'm not sure if I posted too much, because this is a little more than half of the entire story.

Favorite Zelenka Moments (Stargate Atlantis)

Favorite Zelenka Moments
I know, I know, I'm late. I missed the weekend - and Zelenka is one of my favourite characters!

If it's not too late, I wonder if you'd tell me your favourite Zelenka moments from the show. Any particular scenes that won you, that converted you into a Zelenka fan? Any scenes that are just perfect Zelenka moments?

My fave Zelenka scene is the one in "Letters from Pegasus", where he describes the rising of the city in loving detail - the entire monologue done in Czech. It was wonderful, because you didn't have to understand a word of the language to understand what he was saying. It was all conveyed with his eyes, his body, and the imagery they used. I love that scene.

Howdy
Hi all.

I just joined up here at the suggestion of a friend, because I've been looking for places to, well, essentially whore out my writings lol.

I write as much as humanly possible, and one of my projects is Stargate based, but not fanfic. So I'm not 100% sure this is the right place to mention it, but since McKay does feature, I guess it could be called a UA SGA fic... of sorts. It's essentially a Stargate Universe fic... sorry, I'm rambling.

Anyway, here's a link to the first chapter.

Title STARGATE: resurrection

Pointless James/'Lilly' crap? Yessiree. The author gets points for not ignoring Peter, but he wasn't in the first chapter and no way am I reading the second.

Lilly and James had just been to a 5 star restaurant in the heart of Hogsmead which for some reason Lilly had never noticed in her school years.
*
Lilly was really was very, very beautiful and perhaps the only person who didn t know who beautiful was Lilly herself!
*
She was average height and quite curvy really but in all the right places. Her most striking feature was her startling green eyes. She had long red hair that reached just below her arm pit. Tonight her red hair was a very striking against the shocking white of her dress; this dress was made of a floaty which ended just above her knee she was also wearing the very expensive charm bracelet James had got her for Lilly s 18th birthday.
*
Oh James I love you sooo, sooo. Oh James of course I ll marry you!!
*
He then produced a pen knife from his pocket and started scratching in the bench and as Lilly lent over his shoulder she saw next to the marauder inscription was:

James
Loves
Lilly He then surrounded it with a heart.

And on her profile:
I LIVE IN MANCHESTER ENGLAND AND AT THE MOMENT I'M WRITING A VERY MERRY MARAUDER CRIMBO AND ABSOULLOUTLY LOVE REVEIWS!!

Oh GOD. ILOVEPADFOOTANDPRONGS is in my city. *whimpers* I feel dirty.

Carson knew what he wanted the moment he saw Rodney McKay. Beautiful blue eyes. He had no idea about the man s sexuality, but then being a physician had its advantages. Rodney was always in the infirmary, complaining about some injury or illness bloody hypochondriac and Carson was always happy to indulge him. A seemingly innocent chance to touch him, the first step in the dance. Carson noted Rodney never saw Dr. Biro, the female physician, and that made him smile to himself. He wanted Rodney, but he could be patient.

Carson protested loudly enough every time Rodney hunted him down to sit in that bloody chair, but in the end he always let Rodney grab his arm and drag him to the thing. A delicate dance. Carson knew the rules of this game, even if Rodney hadn t figured them out yet: the more Carson protested, the more Rodney wanted only him in the Chair. Oh, he was every bit as afraid of the thing as he let on, the systems it controlled, but Rodney seemed to take a sadistic pleasure in his discomfort. It didn t matter there were other scientists who could work the thing better than he could. He smiled at the troubles Rodney went through to get him. He s learning his steps.

During the entire time they worked in Antarctica, the dance continued. Carson treated Rodney s wounds and illnesses, real and imagined, and Rodney hunted through the entire base to find Carson to initialize the Chair. He eventually demanded some sort of compensation for frayed nerves and time taken away from his own research. Rodney complained, saying Carson was simply doing what was expected of him since he was one of the few with the gene to activate Ancient technology. The next day, however, Rodney showed up in Carson s office with a cup of coffee, some packets of sugar, and little creamers, mumbling something about how he didn t know how Carson liked his coffee. Another set of steps in the dance, another movement in the symphony.

The dance continued a step added here and there. One day Rodney had been particularly demanding about Carson spending time in the chair, and Carson stormed off nearly as pissed as he pretended to be. Carson sat alone in the cafeteria absently playing with the lump the Air Force had dubbed meat loaf and the re-hydrated mashed potatoes when Rodney sat down with his own meal.

Carson, look I m, uh, sorry about this afternoon .I guess I expected you to be as excited as I was about the new feedback loop I was able to isolate while you were in the Chair it looks like that particular loop prevents the ZedPM from overloading, which is good to know considering if the ZedPM ever blows it will take out most of Earth. Every time you sit in it, we learn something new, and, uh, you ve been very instrumental in unlocking many of the Ancients secrets, and I guess I haven t told you how important you are to the research we re doing here, Rodney babbled.

Carson looked up and stared at him for a moment. Is tha your idea of a bloody apology, Rodney? If it is, it s a piss-poor one. D ya realize how many hours ya had me sittin in that bloody thing? Carson hoped he wasn t being too harsh on Rodney, until what he said sank in. Wha d ya mean, the bloody ZeePM could blow up most of the Earth? You had me sittin in tha Chair, and you didn t even know if there were failsafes?! Carson s voice rose an octave.

That s why I didn t tell you about it if you had known how much power was in the ZedPM, you never would have sat in the Control Chair, no matter what. I decided that the less you knew, the better off you would be, until we knew for sure there were failsafes we suspected they were there, the Ancients weren t stupid by any means, and why would they build something that could destroy the planet with a stray thought? You were perfectly safe, as was the planet, Rodney paused long enough to notice Carson s icy glare. Uh, I guess I m not making this any better, am I? I m sorry? Carson, you know I m not the best in social skills, and I m afraid that this is as good as it gets. Please don t stop being my friend. You re the only one I have, Rodney pleaded and cringed under Carson s gaze. Please, tell me what I have to do to make it up to you.

You dance so beautifully, Rodney. Ya can come by my quarters and bring some of that Godiva chocolate I know ya have stashed. An bring whatever DVDs ya ve managed to smuggle here, I ve not seen a decent film in bloody forever.

How do you know about never mind. Right. Chocolate and movies. I ll be there in say, half an hour, give you a chance to finish eating?

That ll be fine. If I m not there yet, let yerself in an I ll be along shortly.

Rodney finished eating quickly and left. Carson finished his meal more slowly before heading to the infirmary. He pocketed a tube of lube from the medical stores before heading to his quarters. He wanted to be certain he was late so Rodney was off-balance.

Carson walked into his quarters to see that he was sufficiently late. His quarters were Spartan at best, like everyone else s, and Rodney had done his best to make a comfortable area for watching movies. He had pulled the small table in front of the bed, so they both could sit on the bed and watch the laptop comfortably. There were two bags of Godiva miniatures, dark and milk. There were also two cups of coffee, and Carson guessed one was fixed exactly the way he liked it. He really is sorry about everything.

I wasn t sure which kind of chocolate you liked, so I brought both. Uh, I brought you a cup of coffee, too just the way you like it. The movies are a variety, some drama, comedies, a couple of romances. Your choice.

Why thank ya, Rodney, Carson said as he sat down to shuffle through the DVD choices. He pulled Monty Python s The Meaning of Life out of the stack. I ll let ya get this one started while I get us somethin else for the evenin .

Rodney put the DVD in the laptop while Carson went to his dresser and pulled out a bottle of scotch. He set it down with two plastic cups.

They re not crystal, but it s the best I ve got, he said as he poured a generous amount in each cup and handed one to Rodney.

They both settled in on the bed, propped up on a couple of pillows to watch the movie. They leaned against the wall, nibbling on the chocolate.

Rodney, why don cha get the bloody computer off the table, I can barely see the screen, an I don t want ta miss any of the good parts. Set it here on our legs, that s why it s called a laptop, right?

Oh, yes of course. It is kinda small that far away, isn t it?

Rodney hurriedly grabbed the laptop and set it on both of their legs, trying to hide his uneasiness as it forced them to sit closer together. He then started to babble about his favorite skits in the movie, and drank his scotch quickly. Carson smiled as he sipped his own drink, thankful he d seen the movie enough times to have it practically memorized. He deliberately brushed his fingers over Rodney s as he reached for some chocolate at the same time Rodney did. The symphony approaches its crescendo. Carson took the empty cups and set them on the night stand. He leaned a little more against Rodney as he settled back to watch the movie again. Rodney had grown quiet, and Carson could hear his breathing getting more rapid.

Carson turned, took Rodney s face in his hands and kissed him. At first Rodney s lips were closed, his body tense. Carson persisted; licking Rodney's closed lips until he gave a small moan, opening his mouth enough to allow Carson s tongue entrance. His hands left Rodney s face, slipping down his neck, one curling in the hair on the back of his neck, the other grabbing his shoulder. Rodney tentatively kissed back, entwining their tongues. Carson felt hands pressing into his back as Rodney fell into the kiss. The prelude ends, the real music begins.

Without breaking the kiss, Carson slid his hands under the pullover fleece Rodney was wearing, seeking out the warmth of bare skin. Rodney broke the kiss, pushing Carson away slightly.

What what are you doing? he asked breathless, staring into Carson s deep blue eyes.

Wha do ya think I m doin ? He kissed Rodney quickly. Ya know, for a genius ya can be awful dense sometimes, Carson purred in a low voice, hands still under Rodney s shirt, a wicked grin on his face.

I I know what you re doing but I ve, ah, he gasped as Carson tickled his side. I don t know what what you it s been so long...

All ya need to know is if you say Stop or No , I ll stop. Otherwise, ya need to stop thinkin so much. Carson leaned over and started to tease Rodney s earlobe, sucking and nipping it.

Oh, God oh, God please, don t stop!

Carson pulled away from Rodney long enough shut the laptop, put the chocolate back on the table, and turn up the space heater a little. He then grabbed the hem of Rodney s shirt, pulled it off, and pushed Rodney onto his back on the bed. Now to change the waltz into a Tango.

Ahh, so lovely, Carson whispered reverently as he straddled Rodney s hips, leaned over, and started to kiss him again. Rodney reached up to pull Carson s shirt free, but Carson grabbed his wrists and pinned them to the bed, over Rodney s head. He started to lick and nip every sensitive area on Rodney s neck, enjoying every moan and cry of pleasure.

Please, Carson oh, God let me feel you too many clothes, he panted.

I thought ya didn t know wha to do?

I know I want to feel you.

Carson sat up and let go of Rodney s wrists. He wanted to see what Rodney would do. He didn t have to wait long Rodney immediately scrabbled to pull Carson s shirt off, hands trembling. Carson laughed a little and helped him. Rodney looked at Carson in awe, his hands tentatively brushed Carson s chest and shoulders. Carson shifted his pelvis then gasped as Rodney grabbed his shoulders and pulled him down for a passionate kiss. This is not your dance to lead. Carson broke the kiss and licked his way down to one nipple, teasing it with the tip of his tongue while he rolled the other between his fingers. Rodney inhaled sharply and shuddered, unable to speak.

D ya like that? Carson asked innocently.

Oh, please don t stop, he begged.

Hearing Rodney beg underneath him was all it took for his resolve to crumble. Carson slid down Rodney s legs, unfastening Rodney s trousers and sliding them with his underwear off of his hips. Rodney scrabbled to kick off his shoes and trousers while Carson stood and removed the rest of his own clothing before resuming his position straddling Rodney s hips. He resumed teasing Rodney s nipples, relishing the wordless noises Rodney was reduced to. Carson slid down Rodney s body, brushing his hands over Rodney's chest as he kissed his way down toward Rodney s cock.

As Carson reached for the lube, he knelt between Rodney s legs and licked the tip of his cock. He immediately had to put both hands on Rodney s hips to keep him from thrusting into his mouth. He pulled his mouth away and Rodney moaned, having lost the ability to speak. Carson flipped open the tube of lube and slicked his fingers. He pushed Rodney s legs farther apart with his knees and teased Rodney s hole with his slick fingers. He barely slid the tip of a finger in, and then immediately pulled it out again, smiling at the whine that elicited.

Ya like that, then, Carson whispered huskily.

Oh please Rodney gasped.

Carson obliged, pushing one finger in with a single thrust, and then stilled it. Rodney dug his heels into the bed, arched up, and groaned. Carson slowly twisted his finger, brushing Rodney's prostate, sending a jolt of pleasure through him. He slowly withdrew the finger and pushed it back in. Rodney pressed his hands into the mattress, fingers clutching at the sheets as Carson inserted a second finger. You dance so well. He continued to press and stretch Rodney, who panted and writhed beneath him. Carson pressed his free hand down on Rodney s hip to keep him still, leaving marks that would soon bruise. He slipped his fingers almost all of the way out before adding a third finger and thrusting with his hand.

Rodney was reduced to making wordless noises. He released the sheets to try to touch Carson, who simply rocked back slightly, a wicked gleam in his eyes as he stayed barely out of reach. He pulled his fingers out, Rodney whimpering as he did. Carson slicked himself then slowly pressed into Rodney. He leaned forward, grabbing Rodney s hands and twining their fingers together. Carson brushed his lips across Rodney s before he deepened the kiss, thrusting his tongue into Rodney's mouth. He swallowed Rodney's moan as he slowly sheathed himself in Rodney. Carson fought for control as he stilled, resisting the urge to pound into Rodney, allowing him to adjust to the penetration. He looked into Rodney s crystalline blue eyes, seeing a mixture of emotions in them. Such beautiful eyes, ones that make the heart dance.

Are ya alright? Carson asked, his voice a mix of desire and concern. I m not hurtin ya, am I?

I m fine. I just...haven t done this in a while. Please don t stop, Rodney pleaded before raising his head to kiss Carson again.

Carson began moving his hips, slowly, teasing. Rodney wrapped his legs around Carson s waist, trying to pull him in deeper. Carson licked and nipped Rodney s neck, shuddering at the moans that danced across his ear. He increased his pace, locking eyes with Rodney, his breath taken away by the need and trust etched so clearly in his face. He leaned down even more, rubbing Rodney s erection between their bodies. An exquisite partner. Carson ran his tongue up Rodney s throat, feeling his pulse with his tongue. Rodney squeezed Carson s hands as his internal muscles clamped down on him.

Oh God, Carson, he chanted harshly.

Carson felt a warm wetness on his stomach as he thrust into Rodney one last time, throwing his head back and letting out a wordless cry. His entire body stiffened and he held Rodney s hands as if he would die if he let go. He finally relaxed and collapsed bonelessly as they rode out their final tremors together. Rodney s arms snaked around Carson s back, holding him tight as Carson rested his head on his shoulder.

That was beautiful. Ya looked so beautiful, Carson whispered into his ear.

That was amazing, Rodney murmured sleepily. He rolled them onto their sides and pulled the blankets up.

Carson smiled to himself as he drifted off to sleep in Rodney s arms. He had known exactly what he wanted, Dr. Rodney McKay, and Carson generally got what he wanted.
