He had had a falling out with his close knit group of friends a few years ago, and drifted over to the dark side, just as he had in elementary school. He now hung around the goths and was called 'Raven' by everyone. It's called The Coward. Poor Turlough. Or perhaps I should call him Tulough or Turloug, since the author manages to misspell his name twice.

The author's note sets the tone.

Hey! I'm a huuuuge fan of the new Who! And I watched the old Who after that, now I loooove Tegan! I hate Turlough though and Tegan should have got rid of him. So in my fic she does the right thing!

She goes home instead of returning to the TARDIS at the end of Arc of Infinity?

After a paragraph about "the evil alien" (Turlough), the author's bias emerges just a tiny bit.

The Doctor had another friend, she was called Tegan and she was a great and smart woman who always stood for herself.

Because standing for someone else would have been rather difficult. Tegan, who was noted for her extreme intelligence even in the company of Nyssa, Adric, and the Doctor, would certainly know this.

Most of the Doctor's other friends just acted like he was prefect but not Tegan.

Did she act like he was headmaster? Prime minister?

The Doctor had taut her to fight swords.

Because they were always getting attacked by those nasty pieces of metal.

"Go back to Triton and stay there!" Yelled Tegan.

Turlough fled to Neptune's moon as instructed, but quickly died because the atmosphere there was unbreathable. He might have had better luck if he had instead gone to Trion, his home planet.

There is more badness in the story that I have not quoted. For instance, the first line is hilarious, and the bits that prove Turlough is an alien and also a coward are too good to miss.

Stargate Atlantis

Does anyone (Stargate Atlantis) happen to know when Season2 of

Does anyone happen to know when Season2 of Atlantis is due out on DVD? New characters, new planets, new alien encounters: but the same irresistible brand of Stargate adventure!
Here s the official companion to the first season, packed with behind the scenes interviews, an episode guide and scores of photos, including a 16pp colour gallery.
Customer Review: Good Stuff For Stargate Fans
One of my criteria for judging an episode guide is: Does it have anything to say about various minor recurring characters? Because typically I like them more than the main cast. So my question in reading this book was, did it find time to include an entry on Dr. Zelenka? Yes. Yes, it did. And all was right with the world.

This is a guide to the first season of "Stargate Atlantis", a spin-off, of course, to the popular "Stargate: SG-1" series. In this show, our group of heroes and heroines is stuck in the Pegasus Galaxy after a one-way transgalactic hop via a super-powered gate dial-out from the SGC on Earth. They hope to find the lost city of Atlantis, home of the long-ago-ascended Ancients, and find it they do. Unfortunately, they also discover that the Ancients bailed out of Pegasus some 10,000 years ago after accidentally creating their own nemeses in the form of the Wraith, who really enjoy treating humans as tasty lifeforce snacks. And while there are various human-settled worlds still to be found, not all of them are delighted to see the folks from Earth show up, especially once word gets around that the Stargate team sort of accidentally woke the Wraith back up way before schedule.

This book presents a brief summary of each episode of the first season, along with some minimal cast and crew notes. There's also commentary provided by cast and crew about what went on in the making of the episodes, what their original intentions had been, what worked and what didn't. There are brief character sketches of the main cast, which really have much more to do with details on the actors and how they got the roles and how they approach them.

Also included is a section on the development of the show and another on some of the departments or key players (stunts, production design) behind the scenes. A lot of photos are provided, mostly in black and white but a few publicity stills in color.

I had very low expectations for this book based on previous Stargate episode guides, but it very much exceeded them. It's not a classic of its kind nor indispensable, but if you're a keen fan of the show and you really want to know some of the details about what it takes to put together an episode, you won't be disappointed.

Stargate Atlantis

New Member and (Stargate Atlantis) New Community

New Member and New Community
Hi everyone, I just joined *waves* and wanted to let everyone know about a new community:

Rare'Gate Ship One

Its a community for the less common pairings in the Stargate Fandom, we're looking for members who can contribute... well anything, everything to do with the rare pairings listed in the community info is very much welcome, discussion and news about pairings all so appreciated :)

Hope to see you there...

raregateshipone

Ronon icons and wallpapers
Hey there gate fans!
I have made icons and wallpapers of Ronon and would like to share them

Preview: <img alt="Photobucket - The women play a separate game from the men. It used to be coed, until Cadman or Weir cleaned out the rest of the players once too often. (Besides, there was the whole currency debate the women wanted to play for chocolate and the men for coffee.) The men worried about the women complaining when they brought up the subject of segregating the games by gender, but the women had decided that the men were too whiny when they lost and conversation was much more interesting when it was just the girls.

Girls poker night involves a rotating cast made up of whoever is free. The women are few enough in number that they all know each other, at least casually. Chocolate, snacks and erotica are the preferred currencies. Conversation involves gossip, who may or may not be sleeping together, extended grilling of anyone whose personal life might be getting interesting, and shamelessly explicit discussion of the men on Atlantis (and sometimes the SGC). When Weir can make it, she avoids active participation in most of the discussions. She loves to listen, though and has found it an effective source of information. Cadman and Weir still walk away winners a disproportionate number of nights, but they all have enough fun that no one really minds. Teyla took a while to get the basics down, but she is improving rapidly.

The men have a couple of games going. There is one game made up mostly of military and another made up mostly of scientists. (The support staff wants to get a regular game going, but they never seem to have any free time they do drop in on the other games on rare occasions.)

The most interesting men s game has a mix of participants from different disciplines. Any given game might include Sheppard, Lorne, McKay, Zelenka, Beckett, and a soldier or scientist who was part of the original expedition. Ronon Dex has been learning the game and while he is still sorting out what beats what and the odds of drawing a winning hand, he has proven surprisingly adept at bluffing. McKay has a lousy poker face and is usually the first to leave the table. Sheppard counts cards, unless he gets distracted. Lorne and Zelenka make it a point to wind up McKay into a full blown rant (science in television shows works well) because a ranting McKay is the most effective way to distract Sheppard. Lorne is so low key, no one notices when he s cleaning out the table until it s too late; and Zelenka is so devious, he s equally hard to catch. Beckett stares at each hand with the same concerned face he uses on his patients. Currency is coffee, DVD s of fairly recent sports events, and porn. Conversation usually involves debating the merits of various sports (don t get Lorne started on the superiority of baseball), dissection of off-world missions and lab incidents requiring rescue efforts, and the women. If anyone asks, Sheppard and Lorne never discuss any of the women under their command, and no one discusses Teyla. The truth of the matter, though, is whatever happens at poker night, stays at poker night.

Stargate Atlantis

Stargate - Stargate Atlantis: The Chosen (Stargate Atlantis) (Stargate Atlantis)

Stargate Atlantis: The Chosen (Stargate Atlantis) (Stargate Atlantis)
The Stargate Atlantis team encounter a society where high priests of the local cult are able to protect the society from attacks by the Wraith by using technology left behind by the Ancients.

Stargate - SGA RP

SGA RP
Hey everyone!

I need a Teyla,John,McKay, and whichever other characters beside's Elizabeth,Aiden, and Ronon.
